Good for dog walkers
Visited last summer with my 11 yr old. The small museum is packed with items, including guns which they allow you to hold. So much better than being behind glass. It was a lovely day so walking around the grounds was fun too. The tunnels are not always open which was a shame but I would definitely recommend a visit. It doesnt look too far from Brixham but I advise driving in rather than trying to walk it.
The volunteers were very knowledgeable. They allowed is in with our dog and were totally interested in answering questions and explaining about the displays. Small museum but packed with exibits. Highly recommended. No entry fee but donations welcome. Volunteers made it a memorable day with family.
Fascinating, much bigger than I expected. All run by very knowledgeable volunteers. Top job.
Absolutely fascinating to listen to the people who run this fantastic little museum. The passion and pride they have for the subject is brilliant.If you get the chance, go see it. You won't be disappointed, just listen to the guys there. I did for hours.
