No tables and chairs free but balcony was empty so ordered some drinks and was told we could not use the balcony. When asked why we were told " Health and safety". When asked to explain we were told we must have something to eat. I asked how eating would make the experience safer there was no answer. I capitulated and ordered a sandwich but was told we could not have a sandwich but had to have a main course. We are both local taxi drivers and l mentioned this to the barlady and we walked out never to return.
Always very friendly staff.Food very good. Experience today not up to their usual standard not hot enough, commented and was given a complimentary coffee, appreciated.
Slick renovation of a key heritage building at the head of Brixham's waterfront. We ate upstairs in an uncrowded booth. Prompt, attentive waitress service and a pleasing choice on the menu. Proper chips served with the mushroom burger, and the dessert, cheesecake, was a satisfying portion without being overwhelming. Might have expected a wider choice of beers. No hesitation in recommending.
Great food, welcoming atmosphere. Possibly the the best nacho starter ever. Burger was a good size but a little over cooked.I definitely want to come back and try more.
Very friendly staff in the upstairs restaurant area. Downstairs is the main bar and food counter where you have to queue - can be quite a long queue at peak times. Menu is good (no pasta?) and food v tasty. Definitely go again. Balcony area looks over the harbour but inside is very light and spacious.
